Movement vs Exercise

Tri-LakesUncategorized

Many people can actually control their blood pressure, cholesterol, sugar and weight with both diet and exercise. There are of course some people that unfortunately have genetic risk factors that require medication to treat those diseases. Yet, even those with genetic predispositions will have better control over their diseases(ie blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes), by simply exercising 3-5 days per week for 30 minutes minimum. Exercise requires you to get your heart rate up consistently without breaks for a minimum of 30 minutes. So, walking leisurely does not count. Instead walking at a brisk pace and being out of breath is what your goal should be. Increase your exercise in order to decrease your medication load! To learn more, watch the video.

As always, stay happy and healthy,
